Hi! I’m Fanny Hooks, a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Functional Medicine Practitioner — and the proud founder of Hooks Family Practice, where modern medicine meets mindful healing.

I was born and raised in St. Martin, Virgin Islands, where holistic medicine wasn’t a trend — it was a way of life. Natural healing, herbal remedies, and preventive care were part of our daily rhythm. Over the years, I’ve learned to embrace that foundation and blend it with my medical training to create a truly integrative, patient-centered approach to health and healing.

With over a decade of experience in healthcare, my background spans critical care, intensive care, family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, adult-gerontology, and chronic disease management. I also bring over five years of pharmacy technician experience, which gives me a unique understanding of medication management and patient safety — allowing me to guide my patients through both natural and pharmaceutical care with balance and precision.

My passion for wellness is deeply personal. After transforming my own life — losing over 80 pounds through lifestyle changes and holistic healing — I made it my mission to help others reclaim their health naturally. I’ve seen firsthand that many of today’s chronic illnesses were rare or unheard of in the communities I grew up in. I believe that with the right guidance, education, and consistency, the body has the innate ability to heal itself.
